Douglas L. Kennedy is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Peapack-Gladstone Bank. He is responsible for developing and executing on the Bank’s strategic vision – Expanding Our Reach – which was launched in 2013. Doug leads the Company’s wealth, lending and deposit lines of business, along with its branding, human capital, operations and technology functions, to deliver the Bank’s unique private banking style of client service and superior product solutions.
With more than 40 years in the industry, Doug is a passionate, highly competitive, creative, and versatile financial services leader with a proven track record of building and repositioning businesses. He is dedicated to the communities where he lives and works, and is an innovator who has made it his mission to transform Peapack-Gladstone Bank and its wealth management division, Peapack Private, into a financial services powerhouse, able to compete at the highest level. In 2018, the Bank was recognized by American Banker as a “Best Bank to Work For” – the only NJ based bank to receive this honor.
Doug challenges his employees to live by a set of strategic and visionary core principles that put clients, each other and the community above all else. He encourages both corporate and individual responsibility, and proactive reinvestment in communities with the greatest needs. He values volunteerism and generously gives to local organizations that are important to the fabric of everyday life.
Doug is a graduate of Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut with a BS in Economics and an MBA in Finance. He sits on Sacred Heart’s Board of Trustees and is also a member of Montclair State University’s Board of Trustees. Doug serves on the Boards of the NJBankers Association and New Jersey Chamber of Commerce and was named to the NJBIZ “Power 50 Banking” list.
Senior Executive Vice President, President of Peapack Private Wealth Management
John Babcock is a Senior Executive Vice President of Peapack-Gladstone Bank and President of Peapack Private Wealth Management. He is responsible for all of the Company’s wealth management activities including investment management, trust and fiduciary services, custody, banking and lending solutions for high net worth, institutional and not-for profit clients. He is a member of the Company’s Senior Management Executive Committee, the Asset and Liability Committee, the Firm Risk Committee, as well as serving as President of PGB Trusts and Investments of Delaware.
Prior to joining PGB, he was the managing director in charge of the Northeast Mid-Atlantic region for the HSBC Private Bank and, prior to that, he was the New York Metro Market Executive for U.S. Trust – the largest of U.S. Trust’s 53 markets in the U.S. In these and previous roles over the last 35 years, he has led commercial and wealth management/private bank businesses in New York City and regional markets through mergers, expansions, rapid growth and periods of significant organizational change.
John is a 1980 graduate of Tulane University’s A.B. Freeman School of Business and has an M.B.A. from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He holds his FINRA Series 7, 63 and 24 securities licenses. He is currently on the Board of Trustees of the Purnell School and has been involved with many organizations over the years in board and advisory capacities including the New Jersey Special Olympics, New Jersey SEEDS and the New Jersey State Golf Association Caddie Scholarship Foundation.
Robert R. Cobleigh
Executive Vice President, Peapack Capital
Robert R. Cobleigh is the president of Peapack Capital and an executive vice president of Peapack-Gladstone Bank. He is responsible for launching the equipment leasing program and introducing the Bank’s brand to this vertical.
Robert has over 30 years of leasing and structured finance expertise in a broad range of industries and assets including manufacturing, trucking, business aviation, rail, marine and energy. A founding member, he most recently served as Regional Vice President and Credit Officer for Santander Corporate Equipment Finance, Inc. where he was instrumental in supporting the growth of a $1 billion portfolio for the Santander Bank, N.A. subsidiary. Prior to this, Robert was the Vice President of Credit for structured and specialty finance (leasing, mutual fund and trade finance) for MUFG-Union Bank/The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi in New York. He has also held senior positions at RBS/Citizens Asset Finance, Inc., Chicago, Illinois, where he served as Vice President of Credit – Business Aviation, Buy Desk and Structured Finance; Siemens Financial Services, Inc., Iselin, NJ, where he was the Director of Credit of Capital Markets; Volvo Finance North America, Inc., Montvale, NJ, where he was the Senior Financial Analyst – Pricing; and International Proteins Corporation, West Caldwell, NJ, where he served as the Director of Treasury and Finance.
Robert earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree – Finance and MBA – Investment Management from Pace University, New York.
Executive Vice President, Chief Retail and Deposit Solutions Officer
As the Chief Retail and Deposit Solutions Officer, Rick DeBel is responsible for strengthening and expanding the Banks retail and commercial deposit efforts, and overseeing its retail, platinum, treasury and escrow services teams.
Rick joined the Bank in 2019 from Wells Fargo where he held the position of regional vice president, responsible for building and growing the banks commercial business, which included credit, treasury, deposits and other ancillary services. Rick is a seasoned leader with more than 35 years in the industry where he has led teams at Bank of America/Fleet/Summit Bank. At Bank of America, Rick was the senior vice president and senior client manager, responsible for managing a team of product partners charged with growing revenue year-over-year for a client base of over $700 million in banking products.
Rick holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from William Paterson College where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He is the current chair of the Board of Trustees for the Christian Health Care Center in Wyckoff, NJ, and co-chair of its annual golf classic. He is also the chair of the Board of Trustees for the Tri-County Scholarship Fund, Parsippany, NJ, and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Netherlands Reformed Savings Fund.
Timothy E. Doyle
Executive Vice President, Chief Credit Officer
Timothy E. Doyle is the Executive Vice President, Chief Credit Officer at Peapack-Gladstone Bank, responsible for directing the credit professionals and quality assurance teams to efficiently manage the high growth of the Bank’s loan originations and ensure continued high asset quality.
Mr. Doyle has over 30 years of financial services experience in risk management in a regulatory environment, as well as broad experience in transaction-intensive relationship banking including structuring, execution, marketing and management. Prior to joining Peapack-Gladstone Bank, Tim served as Senior Vice President, Chief Credit Officer at Millennium bcp, Indus Bank and Crown Bank, where he specialized in credit and risk management. Prior to that, he held credit and leadership responsibilities at Sovereign Bank, Summit Bank/Fleet National Bank and CIBC World Markets.
Mr. Doyle graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce with Honors and MBA from the University of Windsor (Canada). He is a member of the New Jersey Bankers Association, Commercial Lending Committee.
Executive Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer
Brydget Falk-Drigan is the Executive Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer at Peapack-Gladstone Bank. Ms. Falk-Drigan oversees the Bank’s Human Resources function, building upon its existing strategic plan, success and growth.
Brydget brings 27 years of human resources experience in the financial services industry to the bank, with a focus on organizational development, employee engagement, talent attraction, onboarding, operational excellence, team member communications and best-in-class overall human resources experience. Her proven track record over the years includes attracting, developing and retaining new talent, contributing to organizational growth and employee satisfaction.
Prior to joining PGB, Ms. Falk-Drigan served as Leader, Global Talent Solutions and People Operations, Leader, Global Talent Acquisition, and Leader, Employee Engagement and Internal Communications at Dun & Bradstreet Corporation in Short Hills, NJ. There she led HR operations, systems implementations/enhancements, employment branding, talent acquisition, onboarding and the incorporation of a Managed Service Provider (MSP) program. Additionally, as a Senior Human Resources Business Partner and Winning Culture/Talent Development Leader, she provided business partner support to the U.S. Dun & Bradstreet sales organization, helping to drive significant growth through the advancement of a strong performance culture, while also advancing the development of the company’s winning culture strategy in support of its aspiration and brand. Ms. Falk-Drigan began her career in Canada, and occupied the role of VP, Human Resources at Dun & Bradstreet Canada, prior to relocating to the U.S., supporting various lines of business and building a winning culture focused on succession planning and career development.
Ms. Falk-Drigan holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and Business from the University of Western Ontario, Canada. She is designated a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) with the Human Resources Professional Association of Ontario, Canada, and holds a Canadian Human Resource Management Certificate (CHRM) from the Advanced Program in Human Resources Management, University of Toronto, Toronto, Canada.
Robert A. Plante
Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer
Bob Plante is a seasoned executive, proficient in tactical and operational leadership within the financial services industry. He has an extensive skill set with a focus on delivering high-value results. Adept at generating business value, Bob is an outstanding team builder and coach with expertise in business alignment, innovation and operations, mergers, acquisitions and integration, regulatory compliance, and performance management.
Bob most recently served as executive vice president and chief operations officer/chief information officer at IDB New York, a $9.8 billion commercial bank, where he was a member of the credit risk, market risk and asset liability committees. In his role, he was responsible for all back-office support functions including payments, deposits, commercial and residential lending, treasury, custody, commercial cash management and information technology.
An experienced banker, Bob has also held leadership positions at The CIT Group, a global commercial and consumer finance company with $5.6 billion in revenue and more than 7,000 employees in 31 countries, and at GE Capital Global Consumer Finance, where he was a member of the senior management team responsible for technical strategy development and integration, systems selection and implementation, data center consolidation, acquisition due diligence and organizational planning and recruiting.
Bob holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (B.S.B.A.), Finance, from the University of Vermont. Bob has been recognized as a “Top Innovator” by Information Week and named a “Top 100 CIO” by CIO Magazine. He also has been awarded the “Individual Achievement” award from CancerCare of New Jersey.
Todd M. Poland
Executive Vice President, General Counsel
Todd M. Poland is Executive Vice President, General Counsel at Peapack-Gladstone Bank. Working out of the Bank’s Headquarters in Bedminster, New Jersey, he is responsible for overseeing all legal affairs of the Company in addition to providing advice to the Bank’s executive management team on all matters of law and policy.
Mr. Poland previously served as Partner at McElroy, Deutsch, Mulvaney & Carpenter LLP in Morristown, New Jersey with a concentration in banking, corporation and securities law. He has extensive experience in bank and thrift regulatory and transactional matters, representation of parties to private equity transactions and other mergers and acquisitions (including strategic and financial buyers, and institutional lenders and equity investors), general representation of banks and other financial institutions, public and privately held companies, and public and private offerings of securities.
Mr. Poland has been a frequent lecturer on corporate and banking law matters to bar and banking groups. He is an Adjunct Professor of Law (Commercial Law) at Rutgers University Law School, Newark, New Jersey. Todd has also been listed in Super Lawyers® (2006, 2009, 2012-2014), a Thomson Reuters rating service business, in the areas of banking and business/corporate.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from Georgetown University and Master of Arts in English from the University of North Carolina. Additionally, Mr. Poland holds a Juris Doctor Degree from Georgetown University Law Center and was an editor of the Georgetown Law Journal. Todd holds a Master of Laws in Taxation (LL.M.) from New York University School of Law and is a member of the New York and New Jersey State Bar Associations.
Thomas J. Ross, Jr.
Executive Vice President, President Wealth Management Consultants
Thomas J. Ross, Jr. is an Executive Vice President of Peapack-Gladstone Bank and is the President of Wealth Management Consultants, a division of Peapack-Gladstone Bank that provides financial, tax and investment advice to high-net worth individuals. He is the former Partner-In-Charge of Coopers & Lybrand’s Personal Financial Services Group in the New York metropolitan area. While at C&L, he served on the firm’s National PFS Steering Committee and played an integral role in founding C&L’s Registered Investment Advisory subsidiary, eventually serving on its Investment Policy Committee.
Over the past 30 years, Tom has developed a particular expertise in planning for senior corporate executives. He is well versed in the optimization of compensation and benefits programs and the financial aspects of employment contracts. Tom has worked with over three-dozen current or retired Chairmen, Chief Executive Officers and/or Presidents of major American corporations.
Tom has been named to Worth Magazine’s “Top 100 Financial Advisors” list and to “Who’s Who in Finance” and “Who’s Who in America.” He has written many technical articles, instructed at numerous professional education programs, and has been quoted in much of the national financial press. Tom is a Certified Public Accountant (Inactive) with a BA in English from Boston College and an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School. Tom serves on the Board of the Mayo Performing Arts Center and helped to lead a strategic plan review for the Community Soup Kitchen of Morristown. He has been very active in St. Catherine of Siena Parish where he served as Chair of the Finance Council.
Tom also served as a longtime member of the Board of Trustees of The Tri-County Scholarship Fund and currently serves on the boards of several private foundations. Tom has been involved in the Boston College admissions program since 1973 and served on the Executive Committee of the school’s Wall Street Council in New York City.
Executive Vice President, Chief Information Officer and Chief Digital Officer
Kevin Runyon is an Executive Vice President of Peapack-Gladstone Bank. He is responsible for leveraging emerging technologies in support of the Bank’s strategic direction ultimately solidifying Peapack-Gladstone Bank as a leader in products, services and innovation. He is a member of the North Jersey Bankers Association, New Jersey Bankers Association and Pennsylvania Bankers Association.
Prior to joining PGB, he brings with him 34 years of knowledge and experience in the Banking technology industry. Recently serving as Managing Director of All Covered, a Division of Konica Minolta in Cherry Hill, NJ, Kevin was responsible for the delivery of technology and IT compliance-related services to over 100 banks across the country. Kevin has held high-level information technology positions with United Computer, OceanFirst Bank, CoreStates Bank and National State Bank of Elizabeth with a focus on technology issues that affect the bottom line of business.
Gregory M. Smith
Executive Vice President, Head of Commercial Banking
Gregory M. Smith is the Executive Vice President Head of Commercial Banking at Peapack-Gladstone Bank. Greg owns Commercial and Industrial (C&I) Lending across the organization and maintains the company’s focus on providing advice-led solutions to its large-level commercial clients.
Greg is a seasoned business banking professional who joined Peapack-Gladstone Bank from Capital One Bank where, for seven years, he served as the group sales executive for the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions, responsible for the $2 - $25 million business banking segment from Virginia to Massachusetts. During his more than 15 years with Capital One Bank, Greg held several senior-level strategic, sales and team leadership roles, where he was responsible for generating millions in new business, including both loan and deposit generation. Prior to Capital One Bank, Greg worked at Summit Bank for 15 years, moving up the ranks to senior regional vice president, responsible for directing a significant segment of the NJ market.
Greg holds an MBA in Business Administration/ Finance from Rider University, where he graduated Suma Cum Laude, and a BS in Finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University, where he also graduated with distinction.
Vincent A. Spero
Executive Vice President, Head of Commercial Real Estate
Vincent A. Spero is Executive Vice President and Head of Commercial Real Estate at Peapack-Gladstone Bank. He is responsible for directing the commercial real estate function and guiding the bank's overall commercial real estate lending strategic plan.
Vince has over 30 years of banking experience in community, commercial, private banking and SBA lending, specializing in commercial real estate lending. He joined Peapack-Gladstone Bank in June of 2008 as senior vice president and senior commercial lender, responsible for managing the commercial lending sales team and maintaining the organization's commercial loan portfolio. He was appointed executive vice president and chief lending officer of Peapack-Gladstone Bank in 2009. Prior to joining Peapack-Gladstone Bank, he had held senior level positions at both Lakeland Bank and Commerce Bank.
Vince is a graduate of Wagner College and attended Fairleigh Dickinson University in their MBA Program.
Maureen E. Hemhauser
Senior Vice President, Chief Risk Officer and
Head of Compliance
Maureen E. Hemhauser is Senior Vice President, Chief Risk Officer and Head of Compliance, responsible for administering the Bank’s Enterprise Risk Management Program and responsible for overseeing the Bank’s Regulatory Compliance, Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC and Anti-Money Laundering programs. Maureen was the Chief Compliance Officer at Peapack-Gladstone Bank from February 2015 until August 2019.
Maureen is a financial services professional with 29 years of experience in the industry. Prior to joining Peapack-Gladstone Bank, she served as a Senior Compliance Manager at FIS Global for established and de novo financial institutions throughout New Jersey and New York. Maureen was also responsible for conducting monitoring reviews of all consumer compliance and CRA regulations, BSA risk assessments, BSA audits, and BSA and Fair Lending training for boards of directors. She previously served at the FDIC as a Financial Institution Examiner and Supervisory Review Examiner in the FDIC’s New York Regional Office, where she was responsible for the management of bank regulatory and CRA examination case loads of over 90 financial institutions in Delaware, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Puerto Rico.
Ms. Hemhauser holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Georgian Court University in Lakewood, New Jersey.
Jeffrey J. Carfora
Senior Executive Vice President & CFO
Jeffrey J. Carfora is Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Peapack-Gladstone Bank and of Peapack-Gladstone Financial Corporation – the public Holding Company for Peapack-Gladstone Bank.
Jeff joined the Bank as Executive Vice President and CFO in March 2009. He was promoted to Senior Executive Vice President in August 2013. Including his tenure with the Bank, Jeff has over 36 years of financial experience, the majority of which has been in the banking industry. Prior to the Bank, Jeff was affiliated with Penn Federal Savings Bank where he joined as Chief Financial Officer and was later promoted to Chief Operating Officer, Carteret Bank, and Marine Midland Bank. Jeff began his career in 1980 with PriceWaterhouseCoopers, upon graduation from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Jeff has a BS in accounting and an MBA in Finance, and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Eric H. Waser
Executive Vice President, Head of Investment Banking
Eric H. Waser is the Executive Vice President and Head of Investment Banking at Peapack-Gladstone Bank. As the head of Investment Banking, he leads the Company’s focus on providing independent, unbiased and objective advice to middle-market companies and their owners. This includes merger and acquisition advisory support, evaluation and assistance with accessing alternative capital markets, evaluation of strategic alternatives to maximize shareholder value, and customized structured finance based on asset-based and/or enterprise value.
Eric is part of an executive team that is laser focused on providing both new and existing clients with the bank’s unique brand of private banking. He has more than 25 years of experience in financial services and private banking. He joined Peapack-Gladstone Bank in 2015 as the head of commercial banking. Prior to joining the bank he was as managing director for Citibank’s East Business Banking Division, which achieved superior growth and risk adjusted returns through his direction. Prior to Citibank, Waser was the senior vice president, chief financial officer and chief operating officer at Clean Venture, Inc., one of the largest private environmental remediation company’s in the US. Throughout his career, as president of Mid Atlantic Corporate Banking, CEO-NJ and managing director at Sovereign Bank and executive vice president at Fleet Boston Financial/Nat West Bank, Eric focused on all aspects of Retail and Commercial Banking Segments including: business banking, middle market, large corporate, leveraged lending, and professional services, healthcare and not for profit specialty segments.
Mr. Waser holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University, Kelly School of Business and has taught extensively on advanced credit, sales and leadership training topics and programs.
